Dan started fingerboarding in 2010, inspired by pioneers such as Martin Winkler, Mike Schneider, and Dirty Harry. He has loved the scene ever since. Fingerboarding has helped him through tough times and has always been a source of joy. Most recently, Dan was invited to judge at Fast Fingers 22 in Germany, one of the world's leading fingerboarding events. 😁

Toby started fingerboarding in the early 2000s, growing up around skateboarding culture and the first wave of Tech Decks. More than 20 years later, he's still hooked. These days you'll find him building wooden parks, collecting fingerboards, filming tricks, and generally finding any excuse possible to keep playing with tiny skateboards. 😁🦩🛹
The Story So Far
Flamingo Boards is run by Toby, a 30-something-year-old dad from Sussex, UK, who loves to create, make and play.
In his early 20s, Toby was a stuffy career-ladder type, up and down to London on the train every day, working hard to make the rich richer. In 2016, he knew that he had to turn this upside down. So he quit the doom and gloom of "work" and embarked on his first decade of creative entrepreneurship.
From then on, he's built lots of little businesses, projects and products. From software to skateparks, from big events to board games. One thing that has always followed Toby around is his fingerboard.
Getting into fingerboarding and collecting Tech Decks at around 13 years old back in secondary school, he has used it as a tool to have fun, to meditate, to play and to make friends ever since.
Now, in 2026, Toby wants to open up his fingerboard brain to the rest of the world – and this is where we welcome Flamingo Boards to the scene.
Flamingo Boards is not a 'fingerboard company' ...it's a place to play! It all takes place in Flamingo Falls, an imaginary world where patience, practice and play are rewarded with the deepest sense of joy.
Toby makes simple ramps for himself and for you to play with, using simple & natural materials. Opening up a world of possibility, and hoping that you all feel more connected to each other because you too love to flip and fling your fingers around in the pursuit of perfection. 🦩🏝️
